Tamron has announced a new 18-270mm travel zoom lens for DSLRs. The 15x zoom lens features a Piezo ultrasonic motor for fast and silent AF. It also features Tamron’s vibration compensation to reduce camera shake image blur.
The new lens should be available in December for Canon and Nikon mount versions, while a Sony version of the lens is planned for a later date.

I currently make use of two lenses for my kept-in-car-just-in-case camera: 18-55mm and 55-250mm. This sounds like a very nice all-in-one solution.
But I’ll wait to see what the results are of some testing on it. I’m pretty satisfied with the overall image quality I get from the two.

Get the sigma 18-250mm. Have been using it for more than a year already.

Good lens as I have one but not good in low light like the Nikon 18-200
