Casio EX-10HG

Speaking with a Casio representative at PMA 2010, I learned that the Casio EX-10HG GPS-enabled concept camera on display at CES 2010 will receive an estimated price point of about $400 retail.  The EX-10HG is expected to be available in October 2010.

SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC Card

SanDisk 64GB SDXC

SanDisk has announced its new Ultra 64GB SDXC card.  The Ultra-series card has a write speed of 9Mbps and a read speed of 15MB/s, which makes it properly suited for SDXC compatible video cameras.

The SanDisk Ultra 64GB SDXC card carries an initial retail price of $349.99 and should be available immediately.  Check availability on Amazon.com.

Sony A700 Replacement

Sony revealed today at PMA 2010 that it will refresh several models in the Alpha DSLR line with new, Full HD AVCHD-capable models.  Among those cameras to be refreshed is the Sony A700, which Sony Alpha enthusiasts have been anxiously awaiting for some time now.  Sony had two product mock-ups on display at PMA 2010 – an entry-level DSLR and an advanced DSLR, which appeared to be the Sony A700 replacement (shown above). Sony Alpha Compact APS HD Camera

Today at PMA 2010, Sony unveiled plans for a new Alpha mount APS format camera featuring a mirrorless body.  The new camera looks and operates much like the Olympus E-PL1; however, Sony is quick to point out that the APS format sensor is significantly larger than the Micro Four Thirds sensor. Casio EX-S7

The Casio EX-S7 and EX-Z35 are two 12.1MP point and shoot announced at PMA 2010.  Additionally, Casio has brought the popular EX-FC150 to North America.

The Casio EX-S7 features a 3x optical zoom, 720p HD video capture and a 2.7-inch LCD.  The EX-S7 should be available in Spring 2010 at an initial retail price of $139.99.  Check availability on Amazon.com.

Casio EX-Z35

The Casio EX-Z35 features a 3x optical zoom, VGA video capture and a 2.5-inch LCD.  The EXZ35 should be available in March 2010 at an initial retail price of $109.99. Check availability on Amazon.com.

The Casio EX-FC150 is a 10.1MP point and shoot camera with a 5X optical zoom and Casio’s popular high-speed video and image capture. The EX-FC150 is available immediately at an initial retail price of $349.  Check availability on Amazon.com.
