I had a G9 and loved it! It did lack a bit in the lower light but i still loved it. I carried it always and found that it took great shots and had decent battery life...ie when i needed it it was still there.

I want to second Craig King's comments. I had a G9 and wanted something a little more low light friendly for a two week jaunt to Paris and Prague. I bought the G11 the day before I left and spent most of the night familiarizing myself with it. Net result is that I took over 800 shots over the two weeks with about a 30% "keeper" rate. I shot mostly in program mode and NEVER turned on the flash. I almost (but not quite) don't want to go back to my 5D Mk II .

@Poagao - Sorry my friend. I was out shooting today. But how about a comment on a post on a comment on another post? Thanks for dropping by though. ;-)

I promise we'll have more news and reviews coming up soon though...

It's amazing, I felt the same way when I bought my G10 last year. I could use EXACTLY Craig King's words. My D300 had been collecting dust since then, until I sold it a couple of months ago. Now I just bought a GF1. It's very pleasant to use and image quality is there. The only thing it lacks is that G10/G11 "dense" feeling, which recalls me the unforgettable Leica CL.
