Canon PowerShot S90 Reviews
For the enthusiast looking for the perfect everyday, everywhere digital compact camera, it isn’t going to get much better than Canon’s PowerShot S90.
Canon’s PowerShot S90 is a compact which will delight enthusiasts.
And the good news is that the Canon S90 does deliver better performance in low light, and its optical quality is impressive relative to the camera’s size.
I like the Canon PowerShot S90, I like it a LOT.
Image quality remained relatively high between ISO 80 and ISO 800.
It takes excellent photos outdoors and very good pictures indoors as well.
The Canon Powershot S90 is an excellent model which is a pleasure to use.
Impressive stuff.
With the S90 and its stable mate the G11 Canon has shown that it is paying attention to the needs of photographers who require pocketable cameras with raw capability.
This advanced compact has a good range of shooting options to keep most shutterbugs occupied, but we think there is still room for improvement in some areas.
Since it’s the same 10-megapixel image sensor as the G11, yes, you do get just about the same fantastic image quality, solid low-light performance (noise doesn’t start really kicking in til ISO 800, and even that’s totally usable for most stuff) and ability to shoot in RAW.
Performance is incredible. You simply pick it up, use the CONTROL RING button to select which function you want to control with each ring, and then shoot the S90 like a real camera for ever more.
Awesomely fast lens. Granular control over just about any aspect of your shots that you can think of.
