Kata News Release

Ramsey, N.J. (October 22, 2009) – Kata, one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of professional photographic and video protective technologies, today extended its popular Global Digital Collection (GDC) with the introduction of its GDC Camera Satchels – new over-the-shoulder bags that offer shooters a stylish and more importantly, discreet carrying solution for their photographic equipment and accessories. Comprising two new models, the CS-15 and the CS-17, Kata’s new GDC Camera Satchels offer a variety of features that will appeal to the photographer on-the-go.

Kata’s GDC Camera Satchels boast a surprising amount of space that can easily accommodate a range of gear. Each Camera Satchel features a padded insert which provides protection for a shooter’s DSLR as well as other equipment, such as lenses or camera flash. The bag also offers additional pockets for personal documents as well as a dedicated slot for a laptop computer. An internal organizer and two external pockets also give users the ability to store and protect additional accessories or personal effects. If additional space is required, the GDC Camera Satchels can also be expanded by simply opening the zipper that runs along the sides and the bottom.

Designed to look like any fashionable satchel, the Kata GDC Camera Satchel gives photographers the ability to carry their equipment without advertising the fact that high-end camera gear is inside. What’s more is that a discreet top zipper opening allows the user quick access to their gear without exposing the entire bag’s contents. The new GDC Camera Satchels also offer the advanced protection and security that have become synonymous with the collection. For protection from the inclement weather and the sun, the Kata Camera Satchel comes with a two-sided elements cover.

The GDC Camera Satchel can also be used as a standard day-bag by removing the padded inserts and offers a variety of carrying options, include a sturdy handle, non slip ergonomic shoulder strap and compatibility with Kata’s Insertrolley system.
