A german site, digitalkamera.de has provided additional info on the coming Sony A500 and A850. While there a few mysteries left to the Sony A850 since the full manual leaked online, details of the Sony A500 (other than it’s existence) has been scant.
If the report is to be believed, which it appears credible, the Sony A500 specs appear to be as follows:
- 12.3-megapixel CMOS sensor
- ISO 12800 max
- 2 Live View modes – (1) Quick AF (like on the A330 and A380) & (2) a direct view mode where the mirror is down and the sensor directly exposed
- 3″ 230k dot articulating LCD
- 9 AF points w/ double center cross-type AF
- 1/4000th sec min shutter speed
Nothing really new about the Sony A850 appears on the site; however, I’ve included a recap of the specs below.
