Canon 60D and 1D Mark IV Updates

Written by Eric on June 18th, 2009 | 4 Comments

Recent Canon 60D rumors, which would replace the not-so-old Canon 50D, suggest the following:

  • 3″ OLED screen
  • New battery and grip (the BP-511 is getting rather dated)
  • GPS Built-in
  • Wifi as an add-on

Similar spec rumors on the Canon 1D Mark IV:

  • 3″ OLED screen
  • APS-H format
  • 12 frames per second (presumably, it will autofocus properly)
  • GPS Built-in
  • Wifi as an add-on

Movie mode in 60D is wanted!

I think there will have to be a movie mode. It seems to be a new must have feature across all the lines right now.

Forgive me, what’s the O in OLED stand for?

Looking to purchase the 60D maybe the 1D, want HIGH ISO CLEAN IMAGES, 3200 for indoor flash free.

I would rather a weather sealed camera with extra focusing points rather than all the bells and whistles.
