I can’t wait for the D800 but this isn’t it. If you find a blown up picture of this you’ll notice they’ve spelled ‘triple’ wrong. At the moment I’m shooting with a 5D Mkii but I’d be tempted to sell all my gear and buy this when it is announced.

If Nikon does not announce it by Feb 2010 I am going to take my $10,000 and buy Canon along with 3 new Canon Lens. I plan on spending it on Nikon if they can get off the pot and deliver. This is not a joke Nikon, when I switch I will not be back anytime soon after spending $10,000 with Canon.

been holding on for a d700x /s/d800 announcement, but as Jenn says the 5dmk2 is looking a tempting proposition.

really want to go nikon fx but with rumours as they are i dont want to spend out on a d700 if its due update

if, NIKON does NOT catch up, fast… i might just jump over to that Canon 5d Mk ii. Seriously, I was so happy about the d700x rumor, that now … i don*t even know if to even expect a d800. my lenses keep me away from doing the switch && i love nikon… but c*mon….

Nikon and affordable pricing are two different things. They do still charge arm and leg for thier products specially D300 line with price fixing.

Nikon D800 should be 4k 30p video like Red camera !
4:2:2 color sample rate !
if Nikon do that, no body will never buy other cameras, dominator !

After PMA 2009 we didn’t see even the D400 we expected…
Not even the supposed D5000 (!)

But according to the source NR we should expect the D400 to be released or at least announced before July, because there is already a book about D400 ready for sale on July
