Olympus E-30 Now Official

After a few leaks yesterday, which I’m sure Olympus loved, the Olympus E-30 is now official.  You can read the press release in its entirety on Photography Bay’s Olympus E-30 page.

Lot’s of neat new gimmicks, but how have they done with the fundamentals??

Is the body sealed to the same degree as similarly priced competition?

I wonder how that little sensor likes 12.1 mp? I wonder when noise starts creeping in visibly? It appears to be the same sensor as found in the Panasonic G1.

Did they address any of the shortcomings of E-520?

Time will tell, but Olympus needs something good…
