Discussing the upcoming Nikon P6000, Thom Hogan hints at the possibility of GPS in the Nikon D90 and other coming Nikon DSLRs.
It appears that Nikon is making a concerted effort to embrace GPS and WiFi across their product line (hint: this won’t be the last time you see me mention GPS support on an upcoming product you might not expect to have it).
Hogan also hinted at this “surprise” in a recent posting on DPR forums.

I do not need GPS or 4-6 frames a second. What I do need is 16.7MP Full Frame quality and improved Sharpness.
I have the following experience with Nikon:
D-7- D-50 D2x D-300 D-80
I am considering leaving Nikon for the Canon Rebel not the D-450 but the Canon D-500 2009 or D-550 2010
I want sharper resolution and IS and Canon has it in a Rebel the D-450. Nikon is sound asleep. Please don’t wake up Nikon. Just let them fade away.

Yes, GPS in the camera is a bit mickey mouse. It could either be a nuisance (‘dobbing on you’ or reveal locations not everyone needs to know), or be a great mapping tool.
More frames per second… always welcome, even if some people don’t use it.

GPS is real cool now that iphoto supports it. See it in action on Apples webpage keynote address.
