Nikon D60 Sample Images

I received my Nikon D60 from Amazon yesterday. My initial impressions are that it’s very similar to my D40, albeit with higher resolution, which is not necessarily better. I’ll have to say that the 18-55mm VR lens as a kit lens is very welcomed in my hands. Additionally, the wider ISO range (as compared to the D40) is helpful.

Here is a gallery containing some unaltered shots from in-camera jpegs taken tonight at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami. We can all expect the camera to perform well at low ISOs, which is why most of these are shot at high ISOs. You may download these images at 100% (or less if you wish) for you personal use and inspection. EXIF is also included.  Note, however, that the ISO appears to be stripped from the EXIF in some of these photos.  I’ll working on figuring this issue out.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

More thoughts on the D60 coming later as I spend more time with it.

In the mean time, stay tuned over the next couple of days for some exciting news from hands-on time with Sony’s new digital imaging products.
