Nikon D3x

It didn’t take long after the announcement of the Nikon D3 for rumors of the Nikon D3x to kick into high gear. Rumor has it from Nikon UK that the D3x is Nikon’s answer to the 21.1 megapixel Canon 1Ds Mark III and can be expected in 9-12 months. An NPS member posted the following in the DPReview.com forums:
. . . in chatting with the senior Nikon UK staff at the NPS event, we got to talking about the Canon 1Ds Mk III and its 21MP FF sensor… Jackie, who is the pro-level liason for Nikon (i.e. deals with agencies, newspaper groups etc.), stated that Nikon’s “answer” to that camera - the D3X - is somewhere between 9 and 12 months away.
No specifications were mentioned and we didn’t pry for details (Read more…)
